As the initial point of contact, these representatives are tasked with embodying the professionalism and confidence of Woodland Foods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and accurately process a substantial volume of customer orders.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Woodland Foods' extensive product and service offerings to address inquiries effectively.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to manage and interpret a high volume of information, emphasizing proactive listening.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with a diverse product range (over 1,600 items), including pricing, product features, packaging options, and usage guidelines.
  • Handle customer returns and collaborate with Accounting and Quality teams to resolve any issues.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics for customers, acting as a liaison between them and the shipping company throughout the delivery process.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Shipping, Quality Assurance) to ensure timely order fulfillment according to specified parameters.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, providing constructive feedback to supervisors on customer concerns and potential improvements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support other departments with customer interactions as needed.
  • Occasionally represent the company at community events.
  • Perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Customer Service preferred; experience in the food or service industry is highly desirable.
  • Some college coursework is ideal, but relevant customer service or food industry experience may be considered; culinary training is a plus.
  • Must have access to a reliable broadband internet connection (25Mbps preferred) and a private workspace at home.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn about a large product line and complex customer solutions.
  • Capable of understanding customer issues and providing effective resolutions.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to work from home successfully.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confident in both oral and written communication, including upward communication to management.
  • Proficient in critical thinking and outcome-oriented problem-solving.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and familiar with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Skype, and Zoom.
