We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Department as a PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the use of the nursing process and adherence to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
As a PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Circulating and/or scrubbing on all cases.
- Providing care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, neuro, spine, eye, ENT, GU, robotics, vascular, endovascular, cardiac, and trauma cases.
- Assisting with room turnover and restocking for the next day's cases.
- Acting as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- A valid RN license in good standing.
- One year of experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
