OPAT Nurse

The OPAT Nurse will coordinate the OPAT Program in support of the OPAT Medical Director and through the collaborative guidance and supervision of a designated ID Pharmacist (PharmD).
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate OPAT care for patients, acting as a liaison between patients, physicians, home health agencies, nursing homes, and other agencies.
Utilize standard nursing practices to provide support and care for patients receiving outpatient IV antimicrobial therapy.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and family to promote efficient patient care, ensuring the physical, cultural, and psychosocial needs of the patient and family are met.
Develop and implement patient treatment plans, recognizing and applying knowledge of Loyola's 14 Magnet Forces.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois required.
