Job Summary
UF Health Central Florida is seeking multiple full-time Primary Care Physicians to provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Review incoming reports and follow up in a timely manner.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as needed.
- Manage daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit.
- Direct and coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
- Engage in health promotion, education, and prevention programs.
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, and clinical meetings.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes.
- Four years of experience in a relevant medical field.
- Completion of a residency program may substitute for required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty license or certification.
- Board certification or eligibility in a specified medical specialty.
- DEA certification in the state of Florida.
