**Position Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Magnet-designated nursing team. In this role, you will collaborate with distinguished surgeons to perform a variety of complex and transformative surgical procedures.
Our operating room team was involved in over 30,000 surgical cases last year, including solid-organ transplants and cardiovascular surgeries. Our facility boasts 59 state-of-the-art operating room suites, ensuring optimal patient care and effective coordination with the surgical team.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of one year of perioperative RN experience
- Current Texas RN license or Compact State license with multistate privileges
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment
- CNOR and BSN are preferred but not mandatory
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual health status of patients upon admission, considering age-specific needs.
- Perform ongoing evaluations of patients' physiological health during the intraoperative phase and communicate relevant data to the healthcare team. - Develop and implement tailored care plans based on health status data, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to share observations and insights regarding patient care, contributing to optimal outcomes. - Provide timely patient education and ensure accurate documentation of educational efforts. - Supervise and coordinate care assignments for other team members, delegating tasks within legal parameters. - Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment. - Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support. - Address minor issues related to patient care and the operating environment proactively. - Perform additional duties as assigned.
