About the Role

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room environment, including setting up equipment and supplies, to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
  • Orient and assess patients, reviewing their medical records to ensure all necessary safety checks are completed.
  • Respond to life-threatening situations, utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment, and handle critical and highly stressful situations with composure and efficiency.
  • Provide nursing care in a technically complex environment, evaluating learning needs of patients and/or families and providing education appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program, or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Minimum 6 months of RN experience, or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
