We are looking for Skilled Mechanics to become part of our team.Job Summary:
Mechanics at Seatrax are tasked with cleaning, loading, unloading, and transporting equipment/items using forklifts and cranes. They engage in the maintenance and repair of substantial drilling machinery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in various functions, including repair and manual labor tasks as required.
- Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of equipment according to Work Instructions.
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Technician and the Shop Foreman.
- Follow established SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and Work Instructions to complete repairs and assignments.
- Maintain a tidy workspace, free from clutter.
- Ensure all tools are collected and stored properly at the end of the shift.
Additional Duties:
- Complete any extra tasks, including documentation and photographs, as directed.
- Communicate with management regarding all information related to your role.
- Participate in all required meetings and training for Seatrax, Inc., specific job(s), and professional growth.
- Adhere to all Seatrax, Inc. and HSE policies and procedures.
- Comply with QMS processes and policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess a fundamental mechanical understanding.
- Have a working knowledge of hydraulic principles (preferred).
- Ability to read schematics and drawings (preferred).
- Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to endure extended periods on your feet.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Preferred Experience but not required:
- Advanced mechanical expertise.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of offshore drilling equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent/ combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to take instruction and direction from management.
- Must be a team player.
- Able to work independently and safely.
