We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Design Department at IPS-Integrated Project Services, LLC. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in planning and designing electrical engineering projects for our clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health industries.
Key Responsibilities- Perform specific tasks on project teams related to engineering design, including lighting calculations, demand load estimates, and drafting construction plans.
- Apply your knowledge and expertise to resolve engineering problems and prepare designs for low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, backup power generation, electrical power distribution, life safety systems, and other electrical systems.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Prepare project-related calculations using engineering formulas and specialty software.
- Assist in the selection of equipment based on project designer/engineer recommendations and fill out equipment schedules.
- Research and resolve code issues and consult with code officials as needed.
- Modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects.
- Organize and maintain files and keep project managers and lead engineers informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
- 6+ years of previous design experience.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Experience with design of building electrical systems, such as building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security, and other low voltage systems.
- General knowledge of the principles of electrical systems.
- Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical, or Life Science industry experience.
