About This Role

We are seeking a compassionate and kind-hearted healthcare professional who already has their CNA certification and is looking to further their healthcare career by becoming a Medication Administration Aide.

\

Responsibilities

\
  • \
  • Preparing and administering medications to residents under the direction of RN/LPN\
  • Supervising medication resident self-administration or performing medication reminders\
  • Accessing Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident's record\
  • Appropriately documenting vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration\
  • Maintaining resident confidentiality\
  • Reporting any issues to the supervising nurse\
  • Assisting residents with ADLs (Bathing, Dressing, Oral Hygiene, Toileting, Baths., etc.)\
  • Maintenance of accurate documentation, charting and adherence to company and HIPPA policies\

Requirements

\

A High School Diploma or equivalent, Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Certification required, certified by the State of Wisconsin for medication administration, maintained working 100 hours as a Med Admin Aide and 4 hours of medication training per calendar year since completing program, active CPR, one year of CNA experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities/Nursing Homes, commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients, excellent communications and human relation skills, ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information, ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members / personal representatives, ability to collaborate with all internal and external customers, commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients, ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed, ability to hear communication and communicate verbally, visually and in writing with staff and residents.
