About the Job

The OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to a diverse patient population in accordance with the values and policies of Nashville General Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care services to patients, including collecting and maintaining patient information, conducting physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting laboratory and x-ray tests.
  • Perform routine office-based obstetric and gynecological procedures, including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies.
  • Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment, provide treatment plans, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods, monitor results of treatment, and maintain accurate records.
  • Advise patients and community members on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • May oversee and train residents in obstetrics and gynecology, and assist/mentor them in patient care and management of illness.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric healthcare.
  • Develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Medical Degree or D.O. from an AOA/ACGME accredited medical school.
  • Completed an associated Approved AOA/ACGME Residency.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with Robotic Surgery preferred.
  • ER call is flexible with at least 8 call days/month.
