Job Title: Registered Nurse Labour and Delivery

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labour and Delivery team at North York General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families during this critical period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families during labour and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Assess and manage patient needs, including pain management, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
  • Recent breastfeeding course.
  • Fetal Health Surveillance certification, preferred.
  • Perinatal Certificate, preferred.
  • 2-3 years Labour and Delivery experience, preferred.
  • Operating Room experience, preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English, an asset.
