We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at The Huntington at Nashua. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Security Operations: Patrol the premises, monitor surveillance equipment, and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine checks on exterior door alarms, lighting, and heating systems, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Emergency Response: Respond to fire alarms, assist the Fire Department in locating and resolving the issue, and call the Nashua Police Department as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete the daily Maintenance and Security Log, which includes monitoring heating plant operation and recording pump and temperature readings.
- Communication: Report any problems to the Supervisor/Director regularly and in emergencies.
- Physical Health: Must be in good physical health and able to perform difficult tasks at times.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow simple oral instructions.
- Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge: Some knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and a working knowledge of the trades.
- Education: High school education or equivalent.
