As a Veterinary Care Associate, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect equipment, facilities, and patient areas.
- Provide safe and comfortable animal restraint for veterinarians and technicians.
- Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures.
- Process lab samples and assist with administrative tasks.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful as a Veterinary Care Associate, you will need:
- A strong desire to help animals and people.
- Previous experience in veterinary assistance or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
BenefitsSano Hospital for Animals offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Paid time off (80 hours per year).
- $2500 credit towards veterinary care for personal animals.
- Retirement plan with 3% match.
- Paid holidays, including Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
- Maternity leave (100% paid for six weeks, with additional six weeks unpaid if desired).
Work ScheduleWe typically operate Monday through Friday, with some flexibility to accommodate different scheduling options. Surgery and end-of-day shifts may require additional coverage.
