Job Title: Travel L&D RN - Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team as a travel nurse. This is a 13-week contract position in Waterbury, CT.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN and possess excellent communication and listening skills. They will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy. The candidate will also work collaboratively with medical staff and provide quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan of care
  • Managing both emotional and physical patients
  • Working collaboratively with medical staff
  • Providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Exhibits major team player qualities
  • Willingness to assist others when needed
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward work and others
  • Perform routine duties independent of supervision but consults with others as required
