Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for assessing, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating patient care activities. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient and staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain Interventional Radiology protocols and communicate changes to team members.
  • Mentor and coordinate Interventional Radiology students.
  • Observe patient conditions and report any unusual signs, symptoms, or occurrences to Radiology nurse or physician.
  • Use quality control techniques to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Complete requisitions in the Radiology information system and enter charges and clinical data as necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed.
  • Follow up with patient complaints and report to supervisor as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in Vascular Interventional Radiology required.
  • Customer service and telephone skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, associates, and other departments.
  • Current State Licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology required.
  • Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) by ARRT required.
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
