RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate project specifications and drawings to generate precise cost estimates.
  • Partner with project managers and engineers to grasp project requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Prepare and level bids.
  • Create comprehensive proposals and contracts based on project specifications.
  • Oversee project costs and implement cost management strategies throughout the construction phase.
  • Conduct take-offs.
  • Visit construction sites to collect data for more accurate estimates.
  • Assist with project management tasks as necessary.
  • Mentor and support junior estimators.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in estimating for high-end single-family residential construction projects for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven experience working with ultra-high-net-worth stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam or similar estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, building processes, and pricing frameworks.
  • Ability to accurately assess costs for materials, labor, and equipment in construction projects.
  • Familiarity with cost control techniques within the construction sector.
