Welder Fabricator Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team at BlueScope Buildings North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques and operating equipment.

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings or schematics to determine the most suitable welding processes.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and determine structural soundness.
• Review engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and task sequences.
• Operate overhead cranes and perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of welding related experience
• Ability to pass AWS D.1.1 Welder certification test
• Good mechanical and trouble shooting skills

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
