Position Overview

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is a prominent organization based in Washington, DC, with a significant training facility located in Arlington, Virginia. This facility features modern amenities, including a fitness center, cafeteria, and advanced audio/visual resources, which are utilized for training sessions by FDIC employees and state banking agencies. The campus also includes a residence center designed for students and instructors attending various programs.

As the Assistant Hotel Controller, your role will be pivotal in supporting the objectives of the Accounting department. You will collaborate with operational departments to assist in forecasting, budgeting, labor management, inventory controls, and auditing, while also handling operational responsibilities for the units you support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily postings of supplier invoices across multiple operating systems.
  • Verify supplier invoices on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with Property Managers to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Manage supplier invoice rejections effectively.
  • Execute supplier payment runs.
  • Facilitate expense recharges to clients and tenants.
  • Conduct supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Oversee property rates for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients regarding supplier payments they are responsible for.
  • Document and detail new procedures as required.
  • Maintain logs to ensure compliance with internal audit protocols.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier payments and invoice processing is essential.
  • Proven track record in supplier reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • Previous experience in property management is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to meet the client's employment conditions is essential.
