Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. As an Optical Fabrication Specialist at ASML US, LLC, you will be responsible for fabricating advanced optical components used in semiconductor photolithography machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain optical processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle delicate optical components with care and visually inspect them for any abnormalities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S area standards.
  • Identify and escalate any unsafe conditions or product quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Production Engineering and Manufacturing Management teams to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Learn and apply new skills to tackle progressively more challenging products.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, output, and cycle time.
  • Accurately record time and attendance.
  • Assist with training new and existing employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification desirable.
  • Prior use of measuring equipment, such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), is a plus.
  • Participation in continuous improvement efforts, such as quality circles and kaizen events, is also desirable.
Skills
  • Commitment to task and results orientation to complete scheduled activities and report status throughout the shift.
  • Attention to detail to deliver quality results from the processing step, including visually inspecting work to detect and report any abnormalities.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves for the entire duration of the shift. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be comfortable working around lasers, working with ladders, working on platforms, and working around chemicals. The work environment is moderate to high noise level and temperature-controlled.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
