We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Therapist to join our team at Valparaiso University. Key Responsibilities- Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
- Outreach and Education: Develop and implement outreach programs to educate the campus community on mental health topics and promote awareness.
- Assessment and Consultation: Conduct thorough assessments to identify student needs and consult with other staff members and community partners to ensure comprehensive support.
- Education: Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience providing direct therapeutic services to individuals in a college counseling center, mental health, or psychiatric setting.
- Licensure: Should be license eligible and able to obtain licensure within 3 years of employment.
- Additional Responsibilities: Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
