Business Risk Consultant

At Factory Mutual Insurance Company, we're seeking a skilled Business Risk Consultant to join our team. As a Business Risk Consultant, you will play a critical role in enhancing our relationships with clients, improving their senior and executive management's awareness of key business drivers, and ultimately increasing client retention and gaining new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business risk consulting services to current and potential clients, including regular meetings and presentations to senior client management to develop a sound understanding of their business model, critical processes, and profit drivers.
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to quantify the financial impact of disruption-related risks to client operations.
  • Elevate client awareness of critical business risks and exposures, providing business-focused resilience strategies.
  • Solve client property-related risk management issues, creating opportunities for client services teams to access senior and executive management and reinforce our position as a strategic partner.
  • Provide internally focused insurable value reporting and exposure projects, and other financial support services to FM client service teams.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, and/or Finance from a recognized university (CPA and/or MBA preferred).
  • 4 to 8+ years of experience in a consulting environment (risk consulting or other professional services advisory preferred).
  • Strong ability to understand client business models and produce strategic, quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultancy skills, as well as a positive and innovative outlook.
  • Willingness to travel as part of this role (approximately 30-40%).
