Egg Production Line Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Breaking Line Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for handling and inspecting eggs before and after they are broken to ensure quality and fitness for consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect eggs before and after they are broken to ascertain quality and fitness for consumption
- Remove sour eggs, black rots, and blood spots from the breaking lines
- Rotate to cleaning position to maintain a clean breaking room in accordance with USDA standards
- Remove full pails of egg and dump them in an inedible chute
- Inspect eggs by identifying dirty ones and removing them from the production line and placing them on a flat
- Remove broken eggs and shell particles from the production line and dump them in pails and inedible chutes
- Remove eggs coming out of the washer, checking for dirt and leakers, and removing them from the lines before they go to the breaking machines to comply with USDA regulations
- Learn and follow the correct cleaning procedures and safety requirements
- Ability to clean all parts and equipment and put them back together
- Obtain general information on every area of the production floor
- Follow all company procedures and policies
- Ability to follow instructions from leads and supervisors
- Fulfill all required paperwork at the end of the shift
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to perform Quality Assurance duties for Egg Candling and HACCP requirements for Egg washing and sanitizing
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's & SQF requirements, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- No education or experience required
- Ability to follow instructions from leads and supervisors
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Good hand-to-eye coordination
- Successful completion of yearly LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) Training and yearly Chemical Training
Working Conditions:
This position is located in a food processing facility and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
