MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, performing quality procedures, and adhering to departmental protocols. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate MRI equipment, including performing proper care and cleaning, and reporting equipment malfunctions to supervisors and service engineers.
Be proficient with computer systems in the MRI Department, including Radiology Information System (Radiant) and PACS, to identify patient exam history and input procedure requests and charges.
Perform quality procedures in compliance with departmental technical procedure manuals, selecting appropriate protocols and exposure factors according to body area, body habitus, and patient condition.
Analyze examinations for completeness, gather additional patient information or images as necessary, and use problem-solving skills to reach independent decisions, tailoring exams to the patient's condition and level of cooperation.

Requirements:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (AMRIT).
Bachelors or Associates degree preferred.
1 year experience as RT, RDMS, or CNMT preferred.
Must be licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as a licensed practitioner of MRI (temporary license acceptable).
BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
