Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers.
Compensation: $36.53 per hour, with 50-cent increases after 90 and 180 days upon successful review.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Start time: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assist in educating Route Sales Representatives on pre and post-trip inspections.
- Receive and process invoices for payment.
- Act as vendor billing point of contact.
- Maintain parts inventory and budget.
- Maintain work area, ensuring organization and cleanliness.
- Ensure safe work practices.
- Learn other aspects of Warehouse/Transportation duties.
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks.
- Perform maintenance on lifts, yard truck, moles, docks, doors, etc.
Qualifications:
- Two years of technical education completed or minimum three years of hands-on experience (gas or diesel accepted).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency.
- Ability to handle physical requirements, including repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL a plus.
- ASE Certification required within specified period of time.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Positive team-player attitude.
- Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive.
