Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Oversee a portfolio of personal injury cases, including drafting communications, organizing documentation, and managing case timelines.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the main liaison for clients, delivering updates on case developments, addressing questions, and ensuring top-notch client satisfaction.
  • Legal Research: Perform comprehensive legal research on pertinent laws, regulations, and precedents to bolster case strategies.
  • Document Drafting: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests under the supervision of attorneys.
  • Discovery Assistance: Support the discovery phase by collecting and organizing essential evidence, including medical records and witness statements.
  • Trial Preparation: Assemble trial materials, including binders, exhibits, and witness lists, and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.
  • Settlement Discussions: Aid in negotiating settlements with insurance representatives and opposing counsel, following attorney direction.
  • Billing Management: Accurately track billable hours and expenses, ensuring adherence to firm policies and client billing standards.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution. Prior experience in personal injury law is highly desirable. Proficiency in legal research platforms, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, along with case management software, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. A solid understanding of state and federal court regulations is also required. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices is paramount.
