Position Overview:
Full-Time
| Day Shifts
- Evaluates patient requirements, develops care plans, and administers care in accordance with established standards, policies, and physician directives.
- The RN is responsible for creating and executing patient education strategies. The RN actively communicates and collaborates with fellow team members to ensure effective care delivery.
- Accountable for the care provided to patients, as well as for self and colleagues as professional nurses, including charge nurses, clinical supervisors, unit directors, and the Chief Nursing Officer.
- Oversees LPNs and unlicensed staff and may serve as a mentor to new hires and nursing graduates.
- Fosters effective collaborative relationships with medical staff and other healthcare team members, as well as administrative personnel.
- Maintains a cooperative working relationship with ancillary departments and the entire healthcare team.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Continuously evaluates the quality and effectiveness of care, providing guidance to staff as needed to address care challenges.
- Assumes responsibility for unit operations in the absence of the Director or Chief Nursing Officer and collaborates with them as necessary.
- Relies on experience and judgment to set and achieve objectives.
- 3x12 hour shifts, with varying days.
Qualifications:
- Current MS RN license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
