Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety during procedures conducted in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro Interventional Radiology.
This RN is tasked with maintaining effective communication with physicians and management to ensure smooth operational flow throughout the day.
It is essential for the RN to stay updated on departmental and industry standards, disseminating relevant information to procedural staff members.On-call duties require a 30-minute response time, with department procedures encompassing but not limited to: Coronary angiogram/angioplasty, Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty, Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair, Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy, Central/Port placement and removal, Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Cardioversion, and Stress Tests.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential for the successful execution of assigned duties.
Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the role are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
Ability to maintain a work pace suitable for the workload is necessary.
Ability to establish and sustain effective working relationships across the Health System is critical.
Required:
Current California RN License; Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification; Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold a current California RN license, and possess at least one year of acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care Unit, or Emergency Department.
Telemetry experience may be considered. Proficiency in both verbal and written English is mandatory. Candidates must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the position.Current knowledge and skills relevant to the age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations are required; Annual Update, Education assignments; Completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.
PreferredQualifications:
Familiarity with University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms is advantageous.
A minimum of one year of acute care experience is preferred; Intensive Care Unit, Cath Lab/IR, Emergency Department experience is desirable; Telemetry experience may be considered; Ability to identify and interpret ECG Rhythms, and knowledge of vasoactive medications are beneficial.
