Position Overview

As a recognized leader in providing support to children with special needs, Kids On The Move is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young children through a variety of essential programs. We are currently looking for an Early Childhood Care Educator to join our dynamic Child Care Center team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $12-$13 per hour based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, 401k, and generous time off.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent in Early Childhood Education
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in providing quality care to young children
  • Must successfully pass a background check, TB test, and obtain necessary certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child, focusing on social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Utilize a variety of educational materials and learning centers to enhance the learning experience.
  • Adapt and modify the curriculum as necessary to meet the needs of the children.
  • Engage with parents and children warmly during arrival and departure times.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Utilize software tools for tracking daily documentation and compliance.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including meals, naps, and personal care.
  • Follow all established policies and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of each child's individual history and health information.
  • Employ positive discipline strategies to guide children's behavior throughout the day.
