  • HIST 101: World Civilization to 1500

  • HIST 103: World Civilization since 1815
  • HIST 143: U.S. History to 1865
  • HIST 144: U.S. History, Since 1865
  • HIST 301: Pacific Northwest History

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in History
  • Teaching experience at the college level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in History

Compensation and Work Schedule

Compensation: Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the academic year will be as follows:

  • Lecturer: $1,188 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $950 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
  • Senior Lecturer: $1,307 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,044 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

Work Schedule: Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter.

Additional Information

This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the History Department. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department.
