Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the relevant scope and standards of practice while aligning with the organization's policies, values, and mission. You will monitor patients to ensure a safe environment, optimize health outcomes, and utilize resources effectively.

Work Schedule: Full-Time Days

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the environment and assess patients prior to procedures, ensuring all safety checklists are completed by reviewing medical records.
  • Respond to life-threatening situations using established nursing protocols and standards for treatment, maintaining composure in critical situations.
  • Deliver nursing care in a complex technical environment.
  • Assess the educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment within the scope of the role, working independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials:
    Essential:
    * Registered Nurse
    * Basic Life Support (BLS)
    * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Education:
    Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program if less than 3 years of experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
    Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), BLS, and any relevant life support certification as determined by the position level.
    Minimum Experience: 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid before the start date.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is $57.44 per hour, contingent upon the applicant's relevant experience.
