About the Role
As a Transformational Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in our Behavior Management Day Program, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing personalized learning plans to foster growth and skills development
- Collaborating with our leadership team to create objectives that promote self-expression and communication
- Providing direct support to participants, including personal care and coaching
- Maintaining accurate documentation and updating training records
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of one year of experience serving individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities
- A High School Diploma or GED, with a focus on crisis response management certification and current CPR/First Aid certification
- A valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome candidates with:
- Bachelor's degrees in related fields or comparable experience
- Two years of experience in training, teaching, and/or supervision
- Training in behavior modification and/or positive teaching techniques
