About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at MJ Care Inc. as a Long-Term Care Speech-Language Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, voice, cognitive, swallowing, and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities, and develop individualized treatment plans to address their specific needs.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct care to patients, including speech, language, and swallowing therapy, and consult with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments in speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
