Job Summary

Covenant Living Communities is seeking a skilled Floor and Custodial Technician to provide exceptional campus services, including floor technician services, general custodial cleaning, and minor maintenance requests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general building and facility custodial and cleaning functions, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, in accordance with department standards.
  • Assist in cleaning emergency clean-ups and perform project cleaning as assigned, including walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, and deep cleaning rooms/units as needed.
  • Maintain all floors as appropriate, including stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing, and utilize specialized equipment to ensure floors are maintained in excellent and safe condition.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, including moving furniture, removing trash and recyclables, and maintaining cleaning equipment.
  • Participate in the campus linen program, including distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing for pick-up, and handle incoming linen.
  • Ensure all areas requiring supplies are fully stocked on a daily basis and participate in receiving campus supplies and deliveries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
  • Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day's assignment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures, with limited direct supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant mobility, including bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
  • Routine use of ladders and floor equipment.
  • Ability to lift, push, move, and operate specialized equipment, supplies, etc. not normally exceeding 100 lbs.
