Key Responsibilities:- Assessment: Conduct evaluations remotely, administering standardized assessments and informal evaluations to determine students speech and language needs.
- Data Collection: Gather data through digital tools to track progress and inform treatment decisions.
- Intervention: Provide individual or group therapy sessions via video conferencing, focusing on areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication.
- Creating Custom Materials: Develop engaging, interactive materials tailored to students needs, utilizing digital resources.
- Collaboration: Work with educators to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
- Engaging with Families: Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss progress, provide strategies for home support, and address any concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress notes in accordance with school policies and regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare reports for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings virtually.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Requirements:- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Maryland licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
- Previous teletherapy experience preferred
- Experience with AAC devices
- Knowledgeable regarding IEPs
