Job Summary:

The Athletic Trainer will provide exceptional patient care within the hospital and clinic setting under the direction of the Physician as a member of a multi-disciplinary clinical team specialized in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. This role requires a strong understanding of athletic training principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with intake of patients, including medical history, physical exam, and preparation of imaging and other intake requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to evaluate patient physical condition and advise treatment plans.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local high schools, colleges, and athletic organizations.
• Provide discharge instructions, participate status, and follow-up visits, as well as make referrals to other healthcare providers as prescribed by the treating physician's assistant.
• Maintain clinical competence by attending continuing education classes each year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or similar field required.
• Athletic training license from Board of Certification Athletic Training Certification (BOC) required.
• Orthopedic Technologist certification preferred.
• Post Graduate Athletic Training Residency Program preferred.
• 0-2 years of athletic training experience required.
