Location: New York, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Onsite (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement audit strategies that ensure effective risk-based auditing by outlining audit scopes and programs, utilizing automation and innovative techniques for timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of products, business operations, and technical expertise to effectively engage with management, enhancing the control environment.
- Evaluate the impacts on business processes, controls, and strategies, providing insightful recommendations regarding severity ratings.
- Contribute to the drafting of audit reports and communicate audit findings with business leaders.
- Facilitate the growth of peers and teams through hands-on training, promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
- Establish collaborative relationships with business partners, particularly with line management, to enhance business acumen.
- Utilize advanced tools to conduct audit activities more efficiently (e.g., testing procedures).
- Manage multiple projects by applying technology and analytical techniques to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in internal audit, front office control, compliance, or risk management, with at least 2-3 years in the banking sector.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Global Corporate and Investment Banking sectors (e.g., equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, leasing).
- Experience in risk and control identification and assessment.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach less experienced team members.
