Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL truck driver for daily routes in the New England region. As a Ryder driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a safe and efficient manner. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Our trucks are 36 months or newer, and we provide 24/7 roadside maintenance. Our drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. We have all the benefits other carriers do without the wait.

Ryder drivers are paid weekly, with a weekly guarantee of $1390. We offer solo miles pay of $0.80 per mile with 1000 miles per week and solo stops pay of $21.63 per stop with 5 stops per week. We also offer paid training and a schedule that varies.
