About the Role:

Traditions Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Home Health Team in Ennis/Waxahachie, TX. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide coordinated care to patients of all age groups, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical assessments, identifying patient needs and appropriateness of patient care.
  • Document, prepare, and revise Plans of Care, progress notes, phone orders, and other clinical record documentation.
  • Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
  • Apply concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities.
  • Evaluate patient occupational performance in self-care, work, leisure, and rest areas.
  • Assess sensory-motor neuromuscular, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual components of occupational behavior.
  • Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.
  • Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
  • Therapy skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice, good interpersonal skills, and knowledge of durable medical equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
