Production Team Member

Flanders Corporation is seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Metal Fabrication to join our production team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for operating various metal fabrication machines, including shears, notchers, punch presses, rollers, and spot welders.

Your primary objective will be to fabricate high-quality filter boards and other metal attachments for filters. You will work closely with our quality control team to ensure that all fabricated parts meet specifications.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow flat patterns. Additionally, you will need to possess measurement skills to 1/32 inch and have knowledge of different types of metal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal fabrication machines to produce filter boards and other metal attachments
  • Perform quality control checks on fabricated parts
  • Read and follow flat patterns to determine which parts need to be made and attached to filters
  • Collect and deliver fabricated metal parts to the next production stage
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience or education equal to a minimum of 1 to 2 years in metal fabrication
  • Licenses or certifications in any of the above mentioned trade skills are beneficial
