Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $1040 per week or $27.00 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, Ryder offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. We also offer a certification bonus of up to $700 and a quarterly bonus of up to $500.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Annapolis Junction, Maryland location. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy duty vehicles. This includes routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electronic problems, and repairing or replacing defective components.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of skilled technicians and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints. You must be able to obtain a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) within six months of hire and pass a Ryder road test, background check, and drug test.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years or more of experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines. You must also have a valid CDL Class A license and be able to obtain a CDL within six months of hire. Additionally, you must be able to pass a Ryder road test, background check, and drug test.
