Position Overview:
As a Practical Nurse, you will be entrusted with the direct nursing care of assigned patients, working under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of patients in the care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and document direct nursing care for patients, adhering to the established nursing plan and physician's orders.
2. Report patient responses to care to the supervising registered nurse for evaluation and necessary adjustments to the care plan.
3. Collaborate with healthcare personnel to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
4. Assist in various diagnostic procedures alongside physicians and nursing staff.
5. Evaluate nursing care effectiveness, focusing on procedures and patient responses, and assist in prioritizing nursing interventions.

Policy Development:
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of policies aimed at enhancing patient comfort and safety, and participate in the creation of new guidelines.

Operational Excellence:
Engage in maintaining the care environment, including equipment and resources, and assist in identifying opportunities for clinical or operational improvements.

Education and Training:
Participate in in-service education programs and support the training of new staff members.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program is required.
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state is mandatory.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a similar role.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of practical nursing scope and patient care procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to utilize technology for patient care documentation and information management.
