About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to lead environmental remediation projects throughout their life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead environmental remedial investigation and stratigraphy projects, adapting plans according to budget constraints, design factors and/or client needs.
- Conduct research and analysis of regional geology and depositional environments related to project sites.
- Apply Environmental Sequence Stratigraphic (ESS) methodology to complex data sets consisting of lithologic borings, down hole, and surficial geophysical data.
- Work with project hydrogeologist to evaluate potentiometric data, define hydrostratigraphic units, and understand implications for contaminant fate and transport.
- Plan and develop appropriate stratigraphic cross section profiles.
- Perform stratigraphic interpretation of subsurface and create geologically based conceptual site models.
- Assess soil and groundwater data, identify data gaps, and develop sampling plans.
- Prepare technical reports and proposals for clients and industry publications.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or related Environmental degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Masters of Science in Geology with emphasis in stratigraphic discipline preferred.
- Minimum 7 years environmental consulting experience.
- Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and geoscience software such as ArcGIS.
