Job Summary

As a Senior Systems Engineer/Developer at RoviSys, you will work directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission, and qualify control systems and software programs. This role requires a strong understanding of control system design and coding, as well as excellent communication skills to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems.

Key Responsibilities

Work in a team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners, and clients to provide state-of-the-art control systems that improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing
Develop Life Cycle documents, Electrical panels, Control Architecture, and wiring drawings per GMP standards
Redline P&ID documentation
Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) and distributed control system (DCS) configurations
Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems
Mentor less experienced engineers
Develop engineering standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of project execution
Provide technical sales support to RoviSys business development team
Manage a large project or several concurrent small to medium projects for projects executed in multiple RoviSys offices and customer locations

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in automation or a related field
Demonstrates the ability to perform technical and managerial responsibilities
Communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems
Ability to guide a project with little supervision and guidance
Proven track record of managing small projects from start to finish
Ability to author proposals, change orders for new and repeat business through relationships
Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms

Desired Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
Electrical design fundamentals

Experience with:
Microsoft Windows, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV

Third-party HMI/SCADA Software:
GE/Intellution, WonderWare, OSIsoft
Process Control Fundamentals
Understanding of batch or continuous process control, combustion control
Awareness of process safety, validation, and good documentation practices
Network design/administration
