Job Description

Excelin Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Director to lead our hospice program. As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the medical component of our services, providing expert guidance to physicians and ensuring continuity of care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall medical direction to the program, adhering to Medicare Conditions of Participation and state statutes governing healthcare services.
  • Establish and review policies and procedures related to patient care, medical education, and emergency protocols.
  • Develop and evaluate quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to address their needs and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in internal medicine, family medicine, or a related specialty.
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the state without restriction.
  • Experience in hospice or palliative care, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ongoing commitment to medical education and professional development.

Compensation:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
