Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage all equipment within the coatings cell to apply specialized coatings to turbine engine components, including robotic systems and various spray technologies.
- Oversee and maintain inventory of raw materials and spare parts necessary for operations.
- Prepare, mix, and apply coating slurries while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Conduct part preparation tasks such as cleaning, masking, and abrasive blasting.
- Load and configure coating systems with components according to established protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the coating process, addressing alarms and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Assist in the development and implementation of facility and equipment enhancements.
- Support experimental designs and fabricate tooling to improve operational efficiency.
- Program robotic systems to adapt settings for new coating processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all coating activities, both electronic and paper-based.
- Adhere to quality management systems and safety policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a 1st Shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience in thermal spray coating processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent post-secondary training with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Background in manufacturing environments.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in applying thermal spray coatings, particularly plasma spray.
- Familiarity with development coating applications such as air spray and vapor deposition.
- Experience in programming robotic systems for complex geometries.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to explore innovative processing methods.
- Previous experience in the aerospace or chemical sectors.
- Knowledge of formal quality systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical skills.

This position is classified as onsite, requiring employees to work primarily at our facility, essential for the development and maintenance of our aerospace engines.
