We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Connecticut. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with a caseload that includes PreK, Elementary, and High School students. You will be working in a co-teaching/resource room setting, collaborating with colleagues to provide supportive and inclusive educational environments.

Your Responsibilities

As a Special Education Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Creating engaging and accessible lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Collaborating with general education teachers to ensure seamless transitions between classes
  • Providing regular progress updates and communicating effectively with parents and guardians

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in the core area content
  • A valid State teaching certificate in Special Education
  • The ability to pass a background check
