Job Summary

We are seeking a Substitute Educator to fill temporary teaching positions in our Special Education and General Education departments. As a Substitute Educator, you will provide instructional support to students and teachers in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in classrooms and throughout the school buildings
  • Supervise and maintain discipline on the playground, in the lunchroom, classroom, and in common areas
  • Follow directions of numerous teachers and staff members
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school administrators
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Basic understanding of math, reading, writing, and computer skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and supportive working relationships with students, staff, and others
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
  • Training with district staff required
