Job SummaryStaffworks CNY is seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating complex models and molds using blueprints and master patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out and construct complex models and molds using blueprints and master patterns
  • Plan the sequence of operations and use three-axis CAM software to interpret files and program CNC machines
  • Set up and operate a variety of machinery, including lathes, drills, milling machines, and CNC machines
  • Grind, file, and sand parts for assembly and rig molds as required
  • Build fixtures and templates and monitor tooling for wear and breakage
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and add stock to models to allow for machining tolerances
  • Coach and train employees as requested and meet quality and quantity standards
  • Support the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent or trade school graduate with training in shop math and blueprint reading
  • Completion of a pattern maker apprenticeship
  • Five years of experience and ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed
