Family Medicine Physician

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses.
- Counsel and Educate Patients: Counsel and educate patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns.
- Document Patient Information: Document items such as chief complaint, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan.
- Formulate Diagnostic and Treatment Plans: Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe and Administer Medications: Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures as needed.
- Order Lab and Imaging Tests: Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow-up.
- Coordinate Care with Specialists: Coordinate care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.
- Complete Documentation and Paperwork: Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain Quality of Care Standards: Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
- Active and Unrestricted Medical License: Possess an active and unrestricted medical license in the state of California.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine: Be board certified in internal medicine.
- Current and Unrestricted DEA Certificate: Possess a current and unrestricted DEA certificate.
- Managed Care/IPA/Health Plan Experience: Have experience in managed care, IPA, or health plan settings.
- Outpatient Clinic Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Effective Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills.
- Ability to Work Autonomously: Be able to work autonomously and make decisions without direct supervision.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is $256,997 to $364,843. In addition to your salary, the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution.
