Pharmacy Technicians are expected to uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:


Encourages a pathway to better health by engaging with customers to understand their health and medication needs; educates customers about CVS services and products, effectively positioning CVS as a trusted partner in their health journey.


Maintains a customer-centric approach, prioritizing customer needs, demonstrating genuine empathy in all interactions, and ensuring complete satisfaction.


Adheres to applicable Federal and State laws (e.g., HIPAA), regulations (e.g., OSHA), professional standards, and ethical principles; complies with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and safeguard patient privacy and security.


Effectively navigates workflow procedures with a comprehensive understanding of each workstation (i.e., Pick-Up, Drop-Off, Drive-Thru, Production) for daily coordination and processing of patient medication orders; manages individual responsibilities while readily assisting the team as needed.


Demonstrates compassion by proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to ensure customers receive their medications promptly; collaborates with pharmacy teams, medical staff, insurance providers, and customers to address concerns, ensure accuracy, and deliver timely resolutions for medication or insurance-related issues.


Actively seeks opportunities to enhance clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge, utilizing available tools and training resources to develop the essential drug understanding and technical expertise required to assist customers effectively.


Contributes to high-performing teams by identifying opportunities to support individual and team objectives, remaining adaptable to both scheduling and business needs while fostering a collaborative and challenging work environment.


Assists Pharmacists in managing daily operations and administrative tasks, which may include generating reports and pharmacy scheduling.

Coordinates and implements training and development for support staff alongside the field training team.
Willingly mentors and trains new colleagues to enhance team performance and share best practices. Provides performance feedback on support staff to the Pharmacy Manager to aid in their development.

Leads by example, showcasing outstanding performance for the team. Remains flexible, offers coaching, and maintains a supportive and respectful demeanor while continuously striving for improvement.

Takes on additional responsibilities proactively, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Identifies opportunities and shares insights on enhancing patient care and customer service.

Provides training, acts as a backup, and offers mentoring and coaching to the Inventory Specialist.

Required Qualifications:
PTCB National Certification

Must be at least 18 years of age

Licensure requirements vary by state

Preferred Qualifications:
Work 30 hours or more per week

Over 1 year of experience as a CVS Pharmacy Technician

Experience in an Inventory Specialist role

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation:
The typical pay range for this role is:
$23.50

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations.
